PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method and a driving circuit for a liquid crystal display device that can obtain sufficient lightness by compatibly increasing gray scale property and reliability of a display image. SOLUTION: A display part 42 of the liquid crystal image display device applies a digital signal from a driving circuit part 41 to pixel electrodes of the liquid crystal image display device and uses a signal from an analog converting circuit 43 in which a threshold voltage is set for a counter electrode of the liquid crystal image display device.
