PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for recording image that can stabilize the picture quality of an output body by suppressing a drop in temperature of a processing liquid caused by a photosensitive material after exposure and recording. SOLUTION: The method for recording image in which temperatures of processing liquids are controlled based upon a set temperature when the photosensitive material is exposed based upon image data received from a host device to record an image in an exposure section and then the photosensitive material after the exposure and recording is dipped in a plurality of processing liquid tanks wherein the processing liquids are reserved in order while conveyed to perform development processing includes a step S11 of measuring the in-device temperature in an exposure section and a step S12 of changing the set temperature based upon the measured in-device temperature as to the temperature of the processing liquid reserved in the processing liquid tank disposed in the initial stage among the plurality of processing liquid tanks.
