PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device which prevents burning. SOLUTION: A driving method of the electrooptical device is disclosed in which a plurality of scanning lines of an electrooptical panel are supplied with a selection signal in a selection period and a non-selection signal in a non-selection period to make a sequential scan and a data signal pulse-width modulated with a specified gray level for a specified pixel is output to a plurality of data lines in synchronism with the scan to perform gray-scale display. Here, 130<P<230 is satisfied when the duty ratio of pulse-width modulation is denoted as 1/N (N<70), a frame frequency is denoted as P[μs], and P=10<SP>6</SP>/(N×F) holds. In a pulse cycle, 0.5×10<SP>3</SP><α<5×10<SP>3</SP>when a period of an ON voltage for a gray level having the longest period of an OFF voltage is denoted as P<SB>0</SB>, a period of an OFF voltage for a gray level having the longest period of an ON voltage is denoted as P<SB>M</SB>, andα=ä1/(130-N)}×ä(P<SB>0</SB>+P<SB>M</SB>)/P}.
