METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING THE FUNCTION OF LIMITING THE MOBILITY AFTER INTER-SYSTEM PAGING

A method for implementing the function of limiting the mobility after inter-system paging is characterized by the following steps of: (1) mapping the location area of each border MSC into a virtual cell of the serving MSC; (2) configuring the service areas corresponding with the said virtual cells; (3) when inter-system paging successes, the serving MSC querying the corresponding virtual area based on the location area that returns a paging response, and ooking up the profile based on this, so as to obtain the service area that the mobile station is located currently; the serving MSC controlling the present service of the mobile station by using the service list of this service area. With the scheme of the invention, when there is no cell information of the mobile station after the inter-system paging, the function of limiting the mobility could be realized without changing the network architecture of the existing CDMA communication system and the existing protocols, and the scheme is simple and feasible.
