An electrostatic discharge withstand voltage evaluating device comprises a first connection section (15) connectable to the input or output terminal of a source driver (120) and adapted to giving charge to the source driver (120), a second connection section (16) connectable to the terminal different from that to which the first connection section (15) is connected and enabling the connected terminal to be grounded, an application device (10) for applying pulse charge, and a common connection section (51) connectable to output terminals of the source driver (120) and adapted to electrically interconnecting these output terminals. The output terminals of the source driver (120) are connectable to the first or the second connection section (15, 16) through the common connection section (51). With this, the failure situation of a semiconductor device can be better reproduced, and the withstand voltage against electrostatic breakdown of a semiconductor device is evaluated.
