PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective film for a rotary grinding stone which can improve wear resistance, durability, cutting efficiency, and cutting accuracy of rotary grinding stones. SOLUTION: The protective film for a rotary grinding stone comprises a thermosetting resin composition comprising a specific vinyl compound, a rubber, and/or a thermoplastic elastomer. In addition, the protective film for rotary grinding stones comprises an epoxy resin composition comprising a specific epoxy resin and a modified phenol novolac in which at least a part of phenolic hydroxy groups is esterified with a fatty acid.
