PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron capable of preventing dust and foreign substances from entering the main body without damaging the appearance. SOLUTION: By erecting the flange member 110 from the base 3 outer peripheral part toward the cover 8, so that it covers the gap between the base 3 and the cover 8 and narrowing the gap, the iron prevents dust and foreign substances from entering the cover 8 and the iron main body 1.
