A wire grid polarizing plate and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to lower an error rate by improving adhesion between a nano pattern of resin material and a metal pattern. A wire grid polarizing plate includes a transparent film(11), a nano pattern, and a metal pattern. The nano pattern(12) is arranged on the transparent film with a fixed interval. The metal pattern is formed on the nano pattern. Width of the metal pattern is narrower than the nano pattern. The width of the metal pattern is 50~80nm. The width of the nano pattern is 120~150nm. The nano pattern is formed by a roll-to-roll imprinting method.
