<p>An image blur correcting device which is installed in an imaging apparatus, includes a detector (39) configured to detect a shake amount of the imaging apparatus, a moving unit (35, 36, 37, 38) configured to move an imaging plane based on the shake amount detected by the detector, a first determining unit (60) configured to determine whether or not the shake amount detected by the detector is equal to or larger than a first threshold value, and a correction controller (60) configured to control the moving unit not to move the imaging plane when it is determined that the shake amount detected by the detector is less than the first threshold value by the first determining unit.
