<p>A method for analyzing metallic particles contained in siliceous powder and/or alumineous powder, which makes it possible to determine the extent of electrical conduction of the metallic particles easily and precisely by utilizing acid-solubility difference of the metallic particles. A method for analyzing metallic particles contained in a siliceous powder and/or an alumineous powder, which comprises the step of adding both an acid solution and a reagent capable of causing a color reaction with a metal ion to a siliceous powder containing metallic particles and/or an alumineous powder containing metallic particles to determine the extent of presence of acid-soluble metallic particles which are not covered with an acid-resistant substance either partially or completely. It is preferable that the metallic particles be magnetizable metallic particles. The acid solution is preferably hydrochloric acid or a mixed acid containing hydrochloric acid; the metal ion is preferably iron ion; and the reagent is preferably at least one compound selected from the group consisting of hexacyanoferrate(II), hexacyanoferrate(III), thiocyanic acid salts, 4-(2-pyridylazo)resorcinol, and 1,10-phenanthroline.</p> |
