PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ladder-type silsesquioxane and a composition, having a long pot life before curing, reduced in the amount of low-molecular weight compounds evaporating in curing, and excellent in physical properties after curing and yellowing resistance.SOLUTION: The ladder-type silsesquioxane has in its molecule, a structure represented by formula (1) (wherein Siis a silicon atom constituting a silsesquioxane skeleton of the ladder-type silsesquioxane; X is a single bond or a linking group; Rs and Rs are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a monovalent organic group, a monovalent oxygen atom-containing group, a monovalent nitrogen atom-containing group, or a monovalent sulfur atom-containing group; and n is an integer of 1 to 100). |
