Provided in an embodiment of the present invention is a method for configuring eUICC, comprising: the eUICC receives first information transmitted by PM, the first information comprising an update profile and ID of PD; the eUICC installs the update profile in the PD so as to update a first profile on the PD to a second profile, the first profile being a configuration profile; the eUICC modifies an attribute of the second profile as a running attribute or as a configuration attribute and running attribute. In an embodiment of the present invention, when a profile having configuration attributes already in an eUICC belongs to the same operator as a profile to be downloaded having running attributes, the eUICC can acquire the update profile from PPer via the PM, then update the first profile having configuration attributes as a second profile, said second profile having running attributes. Thusly, network resource when downloading profile can be saved. Additionally, the network accessing resource of the operator can be saved. For example, the operator does not need to reattribute a parameter of a new IMSI and Ki and the like on the network accessing credential. |
