PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer body which is excellent in surface smoothness and hardly causes cracks and image defects.SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer body is used in an image forming apparatus which includes primarily transferring a toner image carried on an electrostatic latent carrier to the intermediate transfer body, and then secondarily transferring the toner image to a recording material from the intermediate transfer body. The intermediate transfer body has an endless belt-like shape and contains at least a resin base material layer and a surface layer. The surface layer is formed of a cured (meth)acrylic resin. The cured (meth)acrylic resin includes at least a constitutional unit derived from a polyfunctional (meth)acrylic acid derivative and a constitutional unit derived from a (meth)acrylic acid derivative having an active ray degradable structure.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
