determining a median absolute deviation of first time associations for a particular wireless access point of a plurality of wireless access points configured to provide access to a wireless network; determining a median number of first time associations for the plurality of wireless access points; and altering a transmission rate of discovery frames for the particular wireless access point based upon the median absolute deviation and the median number of first time associations. |
