The invention relates to a device such as a water turbine, activated by a stream of liquid fluid, such as sea or river currents, in order to produce electric energy, including: a floating shell; at least one turbine which can be rotated by the moving fluid; and an electricity generator driven by the turbine and capable of being connected to an electricity distribution grid; characterised in that it includes at least one annular diffuser centred on the turbine and surrounding the latter. Two counter-rotating turbines are provided with at least two blades each, each surrounded by an annular diffuser. Said floating shell is connected to each turbine by an arm or flange. The device also comprises an automatic control system which makes it possible to position same automatically at an optimum depth determined from the collection of data from sensors. |
