PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spun yarn useful for a knitted fabric for clothes that is excellent in heat insulation properties when dried and when absorbing moisture and is comfortable.SOLUTION: The spun yarn has a core-sheath structure comprising hollow cellulose fibers having a water content of 10-18% as a core component and hydrophobic fibers as a sheath component, in which the English count of the spun yarn is 20/1-100/1 and the blend rate of the hollow cellulose fibers in the whole spun yarn is 10-70 wt.%. The woven or knitted fabric includes 50 wt.% or more of the composite spun yarn, and has a thickness of 0.2-1.5 mm and a basis weight of 50-180 g/m. |
