PURPOSE: A digital video binary system which makes the digital picture's bright and dark areas have even dot distribution by modulating a threshold, and a threshold modulating method used for it. CONSTITUTION: A digital video binary system includes an input pixel renewal part (110); a binary part (120); a binary error detecting part (130) detecting an error value of the binary part (120)'s output picture; a threshold modulating part (140) modulating a given threshold of the binary part (120); and an error and renewed data transmission part (150) that transmits a renewed data value as to the input pixel value to the input pixel renewed part (110). A digital video binary system is used for making the digital picture binary employing the error diffusion coefficient.
