PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which which a leathery material having high designability and high performances can inexpensively be produced. SOLUTION: The method for producing the leathery material is characterized as follows. A skin layer is formed by using a transparent or a translucent polyurethane resin on mold release paper and a printed layer is formed on the skin layer in such a state that the mold release paper adheres thereto. An adhesive layer is then formed on the printed layer by using an adhesive and a substrate is laminated onto the adhesive layer. The mold release paper is then released from the skin layer. Furthermore, the skin layer is formed on the mold release paper by using the transparent or translucent polyurethane resin and the printed layer is formed on the skin layer in such a state that the mold release paper adheres thereto. An interlayer is further provided on the printed layer and the adhesive layer is then formed on the interlayer by using the adhesive. The substrate is further laminated onto the adhesive layer and the mold release paper is subsequently released from the skin layer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
