PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compactly designed domestic rice polisher that can be placed in a small space such as a kitchen without congesting the space, which is assembled in such a manner that its mortar-shaped tank and bran storage tank can easily be pulled out in block from its outer frame that houses a driving motor and the like. SOLUTION: The domestic rice polisher is equipped with a vertically disposed inner rib 29 for supporting the outer circumferential flange 10a of a bran storage tank 10, which rib 29 is made to have a structure comprising a plurality of recessed fitting parts 30 each formed by cutting off the inner rib 29 partly in the vertical direction to lower its height for setting the position of the bran storage tank 10 upon detaching it or for preventing it from whirling relative to an outer frame 2a and a plurality of vacant parts 31 to be gripped by hand upon manually lifting up the bran storage tank 10 each formed by cutting off the inner rib 29 in the vertical direction to remove the inner rib 29, with the outer circumferential flange 10a of the bran storage tank 10 made to have a structure comprising a plurality of protruding fitting parts 34 each having the same shape as the recessed fitting part 30 and a plurality of short horizontal handgrips 35 each extending from the outer circumferential flange 10a to an outer rib 28.
