PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge device for a game machine, which is capable of stably retaining a pivot on a bearing. SOLUTION: This hinge device 1 is provided with the pivot 3b provided in a front frame, the bearing 2 provided in the outer frame, and a locking member 4 vertically tiltably attached to the bearing 2 via a horizontal shaft 8. The bearing 2 has an insertion hole 2d where the pivot 3b is inserted from the side and a guide groove 2e extending from the insertion hole 2d. The locking member 4 has a slope face 4d being pushed by the upper end portion of the pivot 3b inserted into the insertion hole 2d, the slope face 4d is pushed by the pivot 3b to upward tilt the locking member 4 against an energizing member 7, the pivot 3b is moved to the end portion 2e1 of the guide groove 2e positioned frontward the locking member 4 to downward tilt the locking member 4 by the energizing member 7, and the pivot 3b is positioned in and retained to the end portion 2e1 of the guide groove 2e by the locking member 4.
