PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushioning bag which makes it possible to stably print a desired character, mark, etc. on its surface, to visually and easily confirm the content of a stored item outwardly and to read a bar code without taking out the item from the bag. SOLUTION: This cushioning bag for internally storing an item to be stored is formed with a transparent area partially on the peripheral material of the bag. The area of the material excluding the transparent area includes a plurality of air chambers. The material comprises a pair of facing rectangular sheets and one sheet is a transparent sheet (the transparent area) and the other sheet is a cushioning sheet with a plurality of air chambers (the area of the peripheral material excluding the transparent area).
