PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of determining lipids and other interfering substances in body fluid samples.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method and an automatic analyzer for more accurately determining concentration of lipids and other interfering substances in body fluid, particularly of interfering substances such as bilirubin and hemoglobin in blood serum and blood plasma samples, which is achieved by generating a difference between two values of an approximation curve for absorbance of the lipids at two different wavelengths and dividing the difference by an extinction coefficient specific to the lipids, instead of dividing a lipid absorbance value theoretically ascertained at a lipid-specific wavelength by the extinction coefficient specific to the lipids.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
