The invention relates to an operating panel (4) of an electronic controller for operating, monitoring, or programming industrial systems or machines. The control unit (2') is accommodated in a carrier body (34) with a substantially C-shaped or hood-shaped cross-section. A cooling surface of at least one cooling plate (39, 40) is formed from metal in the inner space (38) of the carrier body (34), delimited by support strips (36, 36'; 37, 37') and the base plate (35).
