The invention relates to a device for harnessing heat, for the installation thereof between housing and the outside environment, by which means the heat is recovered from a forced current of hotter air and transferred to a second forced air current of cooler air, the energy provided being harnessed to generate sanitary hot water or to heat the rooms of the housing. The device includes inlet and outlet accesses to the housing and to the street, means for heat exchange between the two forced currents, ventilating groups with respective exchangers connected to the outlets to the housing and the outside environment, residual heat recovery exchanger means, and inversion means for the actuation of a ventilating assembly as an evaporator and the generation of cold air for refreshing the inside of the housing.
