METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A-TYPE ZEOLITE USING ALUMINOBOROSILICATE GLASS AS RAW MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively utilizing aluminoborosilicate glass, which has become unnecessary and recovered, as a resource efficiently without consuming a large amount of energy, and also to provide a method for manufacturing A-type zeolite having an excellent ion exchange capacity and available for a water clarification material or a catalyst material.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing A-type zeolite uses aluminoborosilicate glass as a raw material and turns a surface layer part of the aluminoborosilicate glass into zeolite. The method for manufacturing A-type zeolite includes: a heat-up process of heating a mixture of the aluminoborosilicate glass and an alkali solution up to a synthesis temperature; and a synthesis process of holding the heated mixture at a constant temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
