Welding mirror (1) or wear plate. The invention relates to a welding mirror for welding polyolefins, comprising a base material (4) which can be heated by heating elements; and a contact layer which is disposed on the base material (4) and is intended to come into contact with the polyolefins during melting thereof. The welding mirror according to the invention is characterised in that the contact layer (3) has a metal carrier matrix (5) having non-metallic particles (6) embedded therein. Moreover, the invention comprises a wear plate (7) for releasable connection to a welding mirror (1), wherein the wear plate (7) supports the contact layer. |
