<p>It is possible to provide a reception device, a control method, and a program capable of surely limiting operations which can be performed for each of the users. An operation user identification unit (142) identifies an operation user who operates operation means to be operated by the user without inputting a password according to the user identifier identifying a user. A limit control unit (145) judges whether the operation of the operation means by the operation user is limited/allowed according to the limited/allowed information expressing limited/allowed operation limiting or allowing operation by the operation user correlated to the user identifier identifying the operation user. Furthermore, when the operation of the operation means by the operation user is judged to be limited or allowed, a limit control unit (145) limits or allows the process performed in accordance with the operation of the operation means by the operation user.
