ELECTRONIC BLOOD PRESSURE MONITOR HAVING CUFF IN WHOSE INNER PRESSURE IS ADEQUATELY ADJUSTED AND ITS CONTROL METHOD

An electronic blood pressure monitor (1) detects the pressure inside the cuff (2) of when the amplitude of the volume variation of an artery of the subject becomes the largest one by detecting the volume of the artery of the subject while superimposing high-frequency vibration to the pressure applied to the cuff (2) during the period when the pressure applied to the cuff (2) is increased or when the pressure applied to the cuff (2) is decreased after increasing the pressure above the maximum blood pressure of the subject. The electronic blood pressure monitor (1) controls the pressure applied to the cuff so that the volume of the artery of the subject may be constant and determines the blood pressure of the subject from the increased/decreased value of the applied pressure.
