A discharge display apparatus for preventing instantaneous power variation is provided to control supply of power by supplying a power-off signal from an image processing unit to the power supply unit according to wireless control signals. A discharge display apparatus includes a remote controller(59), a discharge display panel(1), drivers(53,54,55), a controller(62), an image processing unit(56), and a power supply unit(61). The remote controller generates wireless control signals according to user manipulation. The drivers apply driving signals to electrode lines of the discharge display panel. The controller generates driving control signals to drive the drivers. The image processing unit is driven by the wireless control signals from the remote controller, provides an image signal to the controller, and generates a power control signal. The power supply unit supplies voltages to the drivers, the controller, and the image processing unit. The power supply unit stops the supply of the voltages when a power-off signal from the image processing unit is supplied to the power supply unit during a falling maintain time which at least one of the voltages is lower than a lower limitation voltage.
