The method involves running workpieces (1, 3) with one another, where the workpieces are made of thermoplastic material e.g. polyamide and thermosetting material e.g. epoxy resin, in regions of joining zones, respectively. The thermosetting material is reinforced with glass fibers, where the thermoplastics material has an abrasive medium. The thermoplastic material is melted. The thermosetting material is removed from the fibers by the medium under sectional exposure of the fibers. A melted thermoplastic compound (2) is in contact with the fibers after removal of the thermosetting material.
