PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repair method for a gland part capable of fundamentally improving gas leakage without replacing a damper shaft or damper unit.SOLUTION: A repair method for a gland part includes the steps of: removing an existing gland part while leaving a dumper shaft; passing a circular tube-like sleeve through the dumper shaft, matching the center axis of the sleeve with the center axis of the bearing of the damper shaft, and fixing the sleeve to the damper shaft; arranging a gland box so as to surround the peripheral surface of the sleeve, and fixing the gland box to a casing; and installing a gland packing between the sleeve and the gland box.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
