PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for imaging in a technique for imaging an object and measuring the three-dimensional shape and surface color of the object.
SOLUTION: For measuring the three-dimensional shape of the object, the object is imaged by a CCD, and a pixel-thinned image is formed from results of this imaging by thinning out some of a plurality of pixels constituting the overall image displaying the object. On the basis of the extracted pixel-thinned image, the three-dimensional shape of the object is measured. For measuring the surface color of the same object, the object is imaged by the CCD continuously to the imaging for three-dimensional shape measurement, and a pixel-unthinned image is formed from results of this imaging without thinning out any of a plurality of pixels constituting the overall image displaying the object. On the basis of the extracted pixel-unthinned image, the surface color of the object is measured. It is thereby possible to shorten the time required for imaging and improve accuracy in texture mapping while securing high texture resolution.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
