<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal material for a separator whose contact resistance is small as well as manufacturing and processing costs are low. <P>SOLUTION: A metal material for the separator of fuel cells is formed by dispersing and fixing granular carbon particles and/or granular metal particles (except for alloy) on the surface of and in a base material. Methods for dispersing the granular carbon particles and the granular metal particles (except for alloy) into the base material can include such methods as a sintering method, adding method in melting process, adding method at high temperatures, and adding method at normal temperatures. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
