A lighting assembly and an advertising apparatus having the same are provided to implement plural lighting assemblies on an outer wall of a building by forming a light diffusion unit in various hollow shapes. A lighting assembly includes a light emitting unit(110), a light diffusion unit(120), and a switching unit(130). The light emitting unit emits light according to light emitting information from outside and powered by a power source. The light diffusion unit is implemented to enclose the light emitting unit and diffuses the light from the light emitting unit. The switching unit is attached to the light diffusion unit and includes a visually recognizable image. The light emitting unit includes a circuit portion and a light emitting element. The circuit portion receives the light emitting information. The light emitting element is electrically connected to the circuit portion and emits light according to the light emitting information.
