The invention provides a locator such as a centraliser comprising a mount 1 suitable for attachment to the tubular and one or more fins 2, 3, 4 which are suitable for attachment to said mount 1. The fins 2, 3, 4 are attachable to and removable from the mount 1 to alter the diameter of the locator. Alternatively the fins (31, fig 4) are pivoted to said mount by a means of a hinge 33, such that they can expand outwardly from the mount 1, or lie flat against the mount 1. The fins 2, 3, 4 may be metallic, T-shaped, covered with a plastic material 18 and include cut outs 14, 15. |
