A height adjusting structure of a hanger rod is provided to change the height of the hanger rod that is installed on an assembly type shelf through simple operation. A height adjusting structure of a hanger rod includes a pillar(102), a support connection member(106), a shelf support(100) and a hanger rod support(150). The support connection member is coupled to the pillar. The shelf support is coupled to the support connection member. The hanger rod support is coupled to the support connection member. A receiving recess is formed on the pillar in a longitudinal direction to be coupled with the support connection member. A couple of ribs are formed on one side of the receiving recess. A sliding recess is formed by the ribs. An insertion portion(110) is formed on the support connection member.
