The present invention relates to a wireless access system, and provides a method of transmitting and receiving cell information by using a synchronization signal in a small-cell layout environment and a device supporting the same. A method of transmitting cell information in a wireless access system as an embodiment of the present invention may include the steps of: configuring one or more pieces of cell information by means of a base station; configuring a downlink synchronization signal including one or more pieces of cell information by means of the base station; and broadcasting the downlink synchronization signal by means of the base station. In this case, the cell information is configured to be information different from the downlink synchronization information configured based on the downlink synchronization signal.

configuring, by an eNodeB (eNB), at least one cell information; configuring, by the eNB, a downlink synchronization signal including the at least one cell information; and broadcasting, by the eNB, the downlink synchronization signal, wherein the cell information is different from a downlink synchronization information configured based on the downlink synchronization signal.
