This gas barrier multilayer film is provided with a film base, an inorganic vapor deposition layer, and a gas barrier layer that contains a crosslinked product of a poly(meth)acrylic acid. The crosslinked product is formed by a reaction between an acrylic acid polymer (A) and a glucide (B) in the presence of sodium hypophosphite (C). The acrylic acid polymer (A) is a poly(meth)acrylic acid or a partially neutralized product obtained by neutralizing more than 0% by mole but 25% by mole or less of carboxy groups of a poly(meth)acrylic acid by zinc. The number of glycoside bonds in the structure of the glucide (B) is from 0 to 10 (inclusive). The ratio of the sodium hypophosphite (C) relative to the solid content of the unneutralized part of the acrylic acid polymer (A) is from 10% by mass to 25% by mass (inclusive). |
