SWITCHABLE TRANSMISSION AND RECEPTION PHASED ARRAY ANTENNA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a space amount of various constituents of a PAA is limited in a part of applications and the design thereof is excessively increased thereby not to comply with a space allocatable to the PAA.SOLUTION: There is disclosed a switchable transmission and reception phased array antenna ("STRPAA"). As an example, the STRPAA may includes: a housing; a multilayer printed wiring board ("MLPWB") in the housing, the MLPWB having a top face and a bottom face; a plurality of radiation elements disposed on the top face of the MLPWB; and a plurality of transmission/reception ("T/R") module attached to the bottom face of the MLPWB. The STRPAA may includes a plurality of vias. Each via of the plurality of vias penetrates through the MLPWB and is configured as a signal path between each T/R module of the plurality of the T/R modules on the bottom face of the MLPWB and each of the radiation elements disposed on the top face of the MLPWB facing the T/R module.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
