PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator system making it possible to diminish a projection quantity of a safety shoe and ensure safety.SOLUTION: In an elevator system including a safety shoe 11 disposed to be able to project from the front edge of a door 1, a detection sensor (15) that is disposed on the door 1, non-mechanically detects a foreign matter, and outputs a foreign matter detection signal, and a control unit 14 that controls opening or closing of the door 1 on the basis of recession of the safety shoe 11 and the foreign matter detection signal, the safety shoe 11 can be switched between a first projected position, which is set to a first projection quantity from the front edge of the door 1, and a second projected position which is set to a second projection quantity larger than the first projection quantity. In addition, the safety shoe 11 is switched from the first projected position to the second projected position in response to failure detection of the detection sensor (15).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
