PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt moving apparatus which reduces data error after averaging at the time of restart, when a belt is restarted after deceleration.SOLUTION: A belt moving apparatus includes an endless belt 61, driving means 67, skew correction means, belt position detection means 24, and position history storage means with a plurality of memories 10. The skew correction means derives a belt averaging position on the basis of an average value of multiple pieces of belt position information stored in the memories 10, to decides an amount of correction of the skew correction means according to the value of the belt average position. When the belt 61 returns to a constant-speed traveling state in response to an acceleration command after receiving a deceleration command from the constant-speed traveling state, the skew correction means writes the belt average position derived when the deceleration command is received on each of the memories 10, to derive the belt average position on the basis of the written belt average positions and the belt position information acquired when returning to the constant-speed traveling state. |
