PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake device (a second brake B-2) that enhances flexibility of arrangement of a return spring 35 and can suppress increase in a radial dimension, in a structure where the return spring 35 is arranged outward in the radial direction of an outer friction plate 31a.SOLUTION: In a plurality of outer friction plates 31a, a plurality of claw parts 31c engaging with a plurality of grooves 6d of a case 6 are formed, and the claw parts 31c have a notch 31d notched from the outer periphery to the inward in a radial direction. A return spring 35 is arranged inside the grooves 6d so that a part of the return spring is inserted into the notches 31d of the claw parts 31c. |
