The invention relates to methods for producing coatings on metal surfaces, in which a coating agent composition (K), applied to a metal surface that has been pre-coated if necessary, contains: a) at least one component (A) containing polyhydroxyl groups, b) at least one component (B) having on average at least one free and/or blocked isocyanate group and on average at least one hydrolysable silane group of formula (I) -N(X-SiR"x(OR')3-x)n(X'-SiR"y(OR')3-y)m (I), and d) at least one catalyst (D) containing phosphorous, for crosslinking silane groups, characterised in that i. the coating agent composition (K) is applied to wheel rims, ii. in component (B), 5 to 50 mol.% of the isocyanate groups originally present are converted to silane groups of formula (I), and iii. the phosphorous-containing catalyst (D) is selected from the group consisting of phosphorous-containing acids and/or partial esters of phosphorous-containing acids. The invention also relates to coatings obtainable with this method, and to the use of same. |
