PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a support which fixes a pedestal and a shape without spoiling the atmosphere of a design, in order to make a natural representation of an airplane, a bird or an insect in the air and fish or a mammal in the water as a moving shape placed on the pedestal, and a method for driving the shape. SOLUTION: In this floating shape representation device, the shape is moved by changing a magnetic field on the pedestal with the help of a magnet attached to a rotor inside the pedestal and thereby, causing the attracting/repulsing actions of a magnet located at a point of application of the shape. Consequently, since wiring, a motion transfer mechanism and the like are not used, the shape can be fixed using a transparent support or a fine wire as a part of the design and thus the free design of the shape in the air and the water can be achieved.
