PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the easy occurrence of looseness of an exchanging head even if a hammer is repeatedly used, by firmly fixing the exchanging head to an installing part without requiring so much force, by installing the replacing head on both ends of the installing part of the head, in a head exchangeable hammer. SOLUTION: This hammer is composed of the installing part 2 fixed to a handle 1, and the exchanging head 3 detachably installed in the installing part. The installing part has a through-hole 4 extending at a right angle to the handle. The exchanging head is composed of a first element installed on one end side of the installing part, and a second element 6 installed on the other end side of the installing part. A threaded rod 7 is projected on the first element. A screw hole 8 engageable with a screw of the rod of the first element, is arranged in the second element. The rod of the first element is inserted into the through-hole of the installing part, and is installed in the installing part in a state of connecting the first element and the second element by engaging with the screw hole of the second element.
