PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manganomanganic oxide that makes it possible to produce a lithium manganate having high reactivity with a lithium compound and excellent charging/discharging cycle characteristics.SOLUTION: A manganomanganic oxide has a sulfur content of more than 100 ppm and 3000 ppm or less, and a sodium content of 300 ppm or more and less than 2000 ppm.
