PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide therapeutic agents for chronic pain having a clearer action mechanism.SOLUTION: The invention provides a therapeutic agent for chronic pain containing a secreted phospholipase A2-12A (PLA2g12A) inhibitor as an active ingredient. The PLA2g12A inhibitor is selected from a group consisting of a low molecular weight compound that inhibits an antisense nucleic acid, siRNA, and antagonistic antibody to PLA2g12A, as well as a PLA2g12A enzymatic activity. Chronic pains include chronic stage neuropathic pain, chronic stage fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and irritable bowel syndrome (or temporomandibular arthrosis).SELECTED DRAWING: None |
