A metallic contact pin used on an electronic circuit board is pressed into a connecting hole. The pin is of a part circular profile that has two bell shaped contact pads [12,14]. These are integrally formed with a thin connecting strip in between [7]. When the pin is pushed in the contact hole the strip deforms to provide a holding force.
