Provided is a method for manufacturing a sintered component, said method manufacturing a sintered component in which a hole has been formed, enabling a sintered component without defects, such as cracks, to be manufactured with good productivity, and enabling the suppression of reductions in tool life that accompany the formation of the hole. The method for manufacturing a sintered component comprises: a moulding step for producing a moulded body by press-moulding a base powder that includes a metal powder; a drilling step which forms a thin-walled section by using a candle-type drill to form a hole in the moulded body, said thin-walled section having a thickness Gt, between the inner peripheral surface of the hole and the outer surface of the moulded body, that is less than the diameter Gd of the hole; and a sintering step for sintering the moulded body after the drilling. |
