PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relief valve which directs a discharged gas more securely.SOLUTION: A relief valve 40 includes a fixing part 44 inserted into a rear housing 1b to be fixed. A through hole 44h is formed in the fixing part 44. The relief valve 40 further includes: a valve body 42 configured to open and close the through hole 44h; a biasing spring 43 which biases the valve body 42 in a direction such that the valve body 42 closes the through hole 44h; and a cylinder part 45c enclosing the valve body 42 and the biasing spring 43. A discharge passage 47 penetrating through the cylinder part 45c in a radial direction is formed in the cylinder part 45c. The discharge passage 47 is formed so that a refrigerant gas flowing from the discharge passage 47 to the outside has a velocity component in a direction opposite to a flow direction of the refrigerant gas passing through the through hole 44h.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
